Skanda is a North London based composer, producer, and percussionist of North African descent, working across film, contemporary UK bass music, and collaborative recording projects.

His background includes international touring with the 15-piece West African jazz ensemble Balimaya Project, with appearances at SXSW (Austin), WOMAD, and WOMEX, alongside sold-out performances at Ronnie Scott's and the Barbican.

Since 2020, he has built a practice in independent production and music licensing through his IC6 Type Beats platform (2.2k Subscribers, 200k views) delivering high-energy Drill, Trap and UK Bass Music instrumentals for artists and screen-based work.

Skanda's growing reputation sits at the intersection of cinematic scoring and modern production. Moving between textured orchestral writing and sample-led beat construction, his practice is informed by close collaboration with leading session musicians from contemporary classical and UK jazz scenes, as well as Middle Eastern and West African diasporas. This flexible approach allows projects to scale from intimate cues to full ensemble recordings, often within tight timeframes.
